Utah Public Safety Summit 2021 has ended

Commissioner Jess L. Anderson and the Utah Department of Public Safety (DPS) welcome you to the 2021 Utah Public Safety Summit.  This conference was designed with public safety professionals in mind and focuses on leadership, educational experiences, critical thinking opportunities and best practices.

Conference tracks include: Law Enforcement, Emergency Management, Forensics, Fire/EMS, School Safety, General Public Safety, and SIAC (Cyber Security).

Lieutenant Greco has been in law enforcement for 27 years. He retired from the West Valley City Police Department in 2018, and is currently serving as the Investigations Lieutenant for the Grantsville City Police Department. In addition, he is the Commander on the Tooele County Major Crimes Task Force. During his time at West Valley City, he was assigned to the Detective Division, where he served for 15 years. As a member of the Major Crimes Unit, he was responsible for investigating unattended deaths, missing persons cases, sex crimes involving adults and children, officer-involved critical incidents, cold case homicide investigations, homicides, and other violent crimes against persons.

In addition to his full-time service, Lt. Greco worked part-time for the Utah Office of the Medical Examiner as a death investigator for 7 years, and was certified with the American Board of Medicolegal Death investigators. He was also an instructor for the Utah Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST), Weber State University Police Training Academy, and the West Valley City Police Department, where he trained academy cadets and certified Police Officers in death investigations, crime scene protection and search, evidence collection and preservation, and preliminary investigations.
